LIFE ENERGY

For millennia, many of the ancient cultures have spoken of an energy that today often seems to be forgotten. Under names like Chi, Prana, Ether or Orgone, it is known as an energy that flows through everything. The ancient Chinese medicine speaks of it as a decisive factor for physical, mental and spiritual health and development. Energy is subject to a constant cycle of consumption and renewal. When their free flow is weakened or blocked at any level in our lives, diseases and disorders can arise.

ENERGY AMOUNT

A decisive factor for our physical and mental well-being is the amount of energy available to us. In our parlance we often use things like “I am exhausted”, “I feel empty” or “I feel energetic”. If we use more energy than we have at our free disposal, we feel weak. When we are full of energy, everyday problems are child's play. But why?

Everything around us is energy that binds a certain amount of information to itself. This information is recorded and processed by us through various channels. However, for this process we need a certain amount of energy to enable the processing of the “data”. Feel, taste, smell, hear, everything costs energy.

The example of stress makes this very clear. We come into a situation or a series of situations that cost us energy.  Regardless of whether our energy level is high or low, the situations need to be managed. If the energy required for this is insufficient, amounts of energy are drawn from organs and other parts of our body and used. If we remain permanently in this deficiency state, we become sluggish and ultimately sick.

In short, the amount of energy available to us is fundamentally decisive in how we feel and think.

There are a few ways we can increase the amount of energy in our body. The sun is our greatest source of energy. Everyone knows that. In summer we feel fit, fresh and good. In winter, on the other hand, limp, sluggish and sick. The reason for this is the insufficient amount of sunlight.

We can also increase our energy level through breathing. Deep, long breaths, such as those used in meditation, supply our system with life energy.
